Poly(lactic acid) or polylactic acid or polylactide (PLA) is a biodegradable and bioactive thermoplastic aliphatic polyester derived from renewable resources.

Apexco is proud to offer our APEX BIO-FRAC X17NTM  PLA material sources in conjunction with the fracking of wells. Our unfilled dissolvable Poly-Lactide can be extruded into a series of diameters which are then machined into balls for fracking. APEX BIO-FRAC X17N has a maximum operating temperature of 115°F with a notched izod impact of 3.5 for lower pressure as a dissolvable and biodegradable solution for the Oil & Gas Industry that is safe for food and water contact. We also offer a series of other materials that operate at both higher tem- peratures and higher pressures depending on the desired results. Apexlon GF30TM Glass Fiber Reinforced Polyamide enhanced with 30% Glass Fiber, offering in- creased dimensional stability exceptional Chemical Resistance and offering in- creased strength and stiffness for structural and applications requiring increased compression strength.
